AND...OTR did not die on american radio in the 60's...CBS RMT ran thru the 70's-possibly thru1980 <have to check> as well as Alien World's- to set the record straight.

We were talking "off the cuff" in a panel. We didn't have any way to look up numbers...

Plus, most OTR fans do consider that when Yours Truly Johhny Dollar went off the air in the early 60s, that was the end of that era.

Not to mention ROD SERLING and ZERO HOUR in the 70's...
All the groovy stuff on CBC in the 80's- Nightfall and Vanishing point... I could go on.

But this is not my point.
WHat offeneded me was the 90% of all the shows at ADtalk are worthless....

And I STILL DISAGREE...
As I seem to LISTEN to THEM and find them great!

I don't agree with many of your statements as is obvious and many of them I find caustic- and that's sad...

I don't recall saying 90% of anything is worthless.

In my vague defense, I will say that I was operating on very little sleep and heavy cold medication. But I can't imagine I would say anything like that.

I recall saying that a lot of the LINKS an ADT are gone, and their forums are unused, and I'd like to see that rectified. I suppose I should go back and see what I did say.

As to OTR - I'm not going to argue about what is and what isn't, but the hard core OTR folks, that I spent WAY too much time with, considered that "Old Time Radio" ended with Johnny Dollar. Everything after that, while equally valid, just doesn't fall under that name to that particular group of fans.

I do apologize for anything that came out wrong.

On the OTR fine <splitting hairs here- I may be>.

But you did say that, 90% was worthless- more than once I believe- which is what led me to respond to this with such vehemence.

I don't believe this to be true and I stand by my statements in regard to finding FANTASTIC SHOWS here at ADT.

And an entire audience that WAS interested in something as magical as this medium is-now thinks that there is nothing at all good with AD here or any new AD unless it's bought... And there is alot of garbage in the paid for stuff too <which you did point out>.
