Herc has officially become a pain in the neck.
"What does Control look like?" is the running gag of the season, but if this court can't get her to appear, the people who can nab anybody from anywhere in the galaxy, to say nothing of reducing the oracle to "Oh...my..." then nobody can, and there's little point to speculation.
Frankly, if she's nothing by a 'Ghost in the Machine' after all, I doubt it matters, because if Deck sees her homeworld as 'Heaven' in his head, then there's no limits to where that can go.
I agree with the idea of humanity being put on trial. The scene seemed similar to the theme of 'The Abyss' with the mighty aliens watching the world, deciding wether or not to flush the world with tidal waves.
Exhibit A is Herc.
Exhibit B is Deck.
Thing is, now that we've established that Earth actually attacks other worlds as it wishes, and can blow up whole solar systems, then sooner or later the FarReach Fleet will have to do something. That'll be interesting.
If Control is a 'Deus Machina' (God Machine) Then she'll do the logical thing and send Deck to fight. If she's the guardian angel type, she'll send him elsewhre so that he doesnt have to take on his old team again.
It's gonna be interesting.
