Nice!

Listened to this one late last night while spellchecking files I should have spellchecked earlier in the week which means next week I'll have to sneak in the good files when no one's looking because technically I don't work there anymore. I think I can do it.

I'm interested in how people are seeing Control. I'm seeing her more as a benevolent god figure. There to support and protect when called on.

And I was wondering if that was Chris Mott. It sounded kinda like him, but different enough that it might be someone else.

I'm growing more and more fond of the Deck Gibson shows with each one.

Another excellent episode of Deck Gibson.

Hmm...Control...I can see where you are coming from on the god angle. She certainly does seem to be an everpresent figure. There also seems to be some degree of omniscience since she is able to run the Far Reach fleet and still babysit Deck. I'm sure this has been discussed in other forums, but every time I listen to DG I am amazed at how involved Control is in the action. It's almost as if she functions like an intelligent version of the Central Computer in Star Trek: NG. (Hmm...that makes me think of the Butlerian Jihad and the Mentats from Dune...) And how about that little side comment about how it was Deck's universe, not their universe? Very interesting...

Regardless, I am certainly a fan of the character (and Leslie Livingston has a very pretty voice) and I look forward to learning more about her. Well done, DRT!

BTW, is it just me, or did the energy blast sound effect sound like Space Ghost's wrist blasters?

No doubt a strange mechanical man-child of the Bene Ixians and Bene Tlielaxu, with Bene Gesserit training.

I suspect another in the line of Chris Mott impressionists. You know the list. Nicholson, DeNiro, Mott

How the heck did Herc know how to find the Court? he probably was lying when he said he respected their authority.

Hmm...good question. It could be any number of things: perhaps in his exiled wanderings, Herc managed to stumble upon one of the remaining aliens from the destroyed system and saw an opportunity to get back at Deck OR the Court tapped him as part of an ongoing investigation and once there Herc pointed the finger at his former friend.

Looks like the court is moving toward literally putting Humanity on trial.

Not that I'd blame them all things considered...who the heck blows up a frickin' star! Besides SG-1 I mean XD

I enjoyed this episode, although it seemed awfully short.

I like the idea of Deck getting a ticker-tape parade...not done often enough!

I found the little sly reference that Control might not be from this Dimension to be intriguing...
