Is it down or something, or is it just me? I've bee trying to go to the website this morning but it just loads a blank page every time

Nope, it's gone for me now, too. And it was working yesterday.

Maybe they're working on the upgrade or updated already.

If I remember correctly.. they do take it down before it begins to do maintenance and clear out people's previous scores.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. Although they are starving for funds usually to keep it going.

For all the newbies - A word of caution: be patient in recording your word counts in the first week in November. Usually the site is bogged down with the many entrants to this adventure trying to input their word count and post on the forums and write PM's that it gets REAAAALLY slow.

It'll pick up in the later weeks in November, so if you find yourself wanting to hit the computer because its taking so long, just take a deep breath, go do something else, and come back. Or, log your new word count in a word processing document on your computer until you have more time to input it. The word count doesn't get "official" till the last week in November, when people can start "winning" anyway

I can vouch for this, too. Being on dial-up, I don't even go to the site until week 2.
