"....romantic, in a strange, endearing, throat-punching sort of way! "

Wouldn't that be a great quote for the cover of some future edition?

I think it would be even better in an episode.

Alas I am not worthy for I have failed you my Lord! My thread was quickly burried and AN as a commercial website does not take kindly to posts with links to Amazon and thus my link as thoroughly deleted.

I have once again proven myself worthless to the Cause. Unable to bring in a single new ear to you!

Default The Crima Cabal on Amazon.ca

Okay, this is a little weird, but while The Crime Cabal is still listed on Amazon.ca as unavailable to order, I just received a message from them indicating that I can order it now!

Just thought you'd like to know...

Default Chronic Rift

I listen to "The Chronic Rift", a weekly podcast about geek pop culture, particularly sci fi/fantasy/horror. In their associated forum at chronicrift.com, I mentioned Decoder Ring Theater (both the audios and The Crime Cabal), and the host of the show gave it a couple of quick mentions at the end of their August 3rd podcast. He mentioned he hadn't listened to any of them yet but that he was planning to. If there are any more mentions, I'll let you know. (I'm a couple episodes behind so I don't know if he's followed up yet.) Spreading the word!

Incidentally, the Chronic Rift is pretty fun; they do a wide range of things, everything from reviews, interviews (including Bill Corbett from MST3K, Farscape's Rockne O'Bannon, and author Michael A. Burstein), and pop commentary to book recommendations to an episode in which they played their own version of the classic game show "The Match Game".

Cool The Crime Cabal from Amazon.ca

Well, I'd ordered The Crime Cabal exactly a month ago and I finally received a message from Amazon.ca that they still didn't have it in stock and would I like to cancel my order.

Then, of course, I received a second message from them five hours later saying my copies were on their way and would arrive by this Friday! Isn't it always the way?

Thumbs up Review -- at last

It took me a while, but I've finally sent in my review of 'The Red Panda: The Crime Cabal' for Amazon. In fact, I sent the review to Amazon.ca, Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk just to make sure all possible bases were covered. I won't post the whole thing, but it concludes something like this --

"It starts out telling a story of 30s gangsters in Toronto and true blue (or should that be ‘true red and grey’?) champions of justice. However, Taylor succeeds best when conveying the anarchic and sinister madness of a pair of colourful evil-doers; as well as in bringing to life the coy banter between the dryly humorous Red Panda and his wise-cracking partner in crime-fighting, the cute but deadly Flying Squirrel. Oh, and it also involves zombies. Highly recommended."

I hope this helps with a sale or two. Thanks for the book, Greg.

So, when is the next novel due out? Just asking...
