Winner take all in a grudge match over a September podcast spot!

Ok, now that I have your attention...

I have a single time slot (before November) that hasn't yet been assigned an episode. I also have a Lovecraft 5 script and a Deadeye Kid script. Whichever one gets the most votes (in the form of donations - there's a paypal button right at the top of the RSS feed page - http://nineteennocturne.libsyn.com/) will get that slot, and the other will probably come out in January.

Make sure to include (either with your donation, or in an accompanying email), the name of which one you are voting for.

People are welcome to vote without making a donation as well, but the total donations will count MUCH more heavily toward the win. This IS a 19 Nocturne fundraiser. And it closes on the Fourth of July (easy to remember!).

[If neither one gets any donation/votes, then something else will go in the September slot, and both contenders will get to wait til 2013.]

What do we do if we want to vote for a "weird west" "mash up"? Deadeye Kid vs The Lovecraft 5.

Well... you could vote for that, but I already have these two scripts written.

And it would have to be another april fool's episode, since the times don't really mesh up...

I am always happy to hear everyone's preference!

But we'll have to see which one gets the most donations by the deadline (fourth of July), since the point of this is to help offset some of the costs that come out of my personal pocket in order to run this whole shebang.

I absolutely HATE asking for donations, which is why I don't do it very often, but at least this is kind of a fun way to do it.

[NOTE - this is not in any way to say the show is going to be hurt f i don't get help, just that I need to be able to upgrade the computer soon and things like that, which mean I have to free up a chunk of my own money. Any proceeds of this fund raiser will go directly to the monthly costs of the feed and the website and all that.]

Nice challenge!! Keep em coming, folks. There's a lot of time to get around to it, but don't leave it too long. Right now, it's too early to call, though I will say there have been votes on both sides.

OK, I've vote twice for Lovecraft! I already donated to 19NB but perhaps I can sweet talk Julie into accepting a second ballot by saying that today I listened to Tropical Horror and From an Amber Block, both of which were highly enjoyable.

Amber Block was great. I l loved the ending where the fellow kills the monster with only an axe - a simple axe and a unique creature is lost to science! It's a different ending from most creature features.
